Age is no Barrier | Walking At Any Age

This week we had the absolute pleasure of walking with an 80 year old who completely redefined what fitness looks like.

Over the past six weeks, she had worked her way through many of New Zealand’s great walks before stopping in Wellington for a few days, before attempting even more! Day after day she was out on those trails, regularly walking 20km and always choosing the hardest routes – she loved the inclines!

Her secret wasn’t complicated – she simply loved to move every day.

Watching her stride up Mount Victoria was genuinely inspiring. No fuss, just steady walking and an obvious love of movement and the outdoors.

It was a great reminder that age is most definitely not a barrier. Consistency is.
